Terrorist plays dead, fires on Marines

Just a week after the media threw a little tissy-fit over a Marine shooting a terrorist thug who had just moments before been firing on US forces, another terrorist thug played dead and then opened fire on the Marines. From ABC News (Australia):

The US military says Marines in Fallujah have shot and killed an insurgent who engaged them as he was faking being dead, a week after footage of a marine killing an apparently unarmed and wounded Iraqi caused a stir in the region.

"Marines from the 1st Marine Division shot and killed an insurgent who while faking dead opened fire on the marines who were conducting a security and clearing patrol through the streets," a military statement said.

Had any Marine been hurt in this incident the blood would have been on the MSM's hands. Their knee-jerk reaction to anything our troops do has created an environment where soldiers on the ground are having to be hesitant in their actions. I wonder if they saw this particular scumbag, wondered if he could be playing dead, and thought "hmm... probably shouldnt shoot him, dont wanna end up being the next soldier hung out to dry by the media". I hope imbeds like Kevin Sites (the NBC ratboy who released the tape of a Marine shooting a terrorist without bothering to make sure the context of the incident was known) are proud of themselves.

Has anyone seen this guy? He's a cross between a typical little wanna-be soldier (alot of these journalists fancy themselves as journalistic Rambos, and dress the part) and a dirty hippy who should be protesting a WTO meeting.

I have a little vocabulary lesson for Sites and his ilk of self-loathing American "journalists" playing soldier in Iraq:

Frag - fragged, frag·ging, frags
To wound or kill (a fellow soldier) by throwing a grenade or similar explosive at the victim: “He got fragged. Blown away”.
