Conspiracy in Chile?

An interesting, yet faulty, theory has been floated over at PowerLineBlog conerning the little "fracas" this weekend where the President had to physically pull a Secret Service agent from a mob of Chilean police:

There are a lot of people out there who want to see George W. Bush dead; alas, there are a lot of heads of state who would not shed a tear. In this day and age, when armed local cops intentionally cut the president off from his security detail, that should be taken as no less a violent act that when an anti-aircraft missile battery "paints" an American plane with fire-control radar.

This writer is probably not far from the mark when he says some heads of state wouldnt mind "offing" W. But even if their is some wish out there to have the Prez taken out, by Chile or any other state, they would quickly scratch the idea once some foreward minded person reminded them of who would take the healm and what his first act as POTUS would be:
